Escowa and the Environment

With a dedicated environmental commitment, we continuously strive to improve our routines and invest in the future by incorporating environmental thinking at every stage of our production.

We make use of consolidated shipping between our various suppliers whenever possible, and we handle a large portion of the assembly at a single location to avoid unnecessary carbon emissions.

Escowa’s business concept is also fundamentally a strong commitment to environmental issues. Taking water from an existing pipeline, instead of resource-intensive bottles and packaging that need to be transported and stored, is an environmentally friendly action in itself, and we hope more people will discover the benefits of a drinking water dispenser from Escowa.

We call our environmental commitment “Carbon Reduced Footprint” and are proud to have environmental certification according to ISO 14001 and ISO 9001, issued by Swedac via A3CERT. According to our approach, quality provides excellent environmental features, as the product’s lifecycle is extended, reducing the need to replace machines, minimizing service visits, and ensuring a well-documented spare parts catalog for those unfortunate times when repairs are needed.

“Carbon Reduced Footprint” refers to the characteristics of the water dispenser compared to the consumption of bottled water, which is transported to stores, shipped back home, consumed, and, in the best case, recycled as an empty plastic or glass container. A water cooler is connected to the existing water network and then serves chilled (and carbonated for those who prefer it) water for many years. With regular maintenance and periodic replacement of the CO2 cylinder, a high-quality water cooler can last 10–20 years.

Why invest in quality?

From a lifecycle perspective, there are several good reasons to choose a water dispenser from Escowa.

  • Designed in Sweden or Italy based on Scandinavian quality standards

  • Manufactured entirely within the EU in a quality-controlled process

  • Durable materials suitable for public environments

  • Clear documentation and history

  • Available spare parts inventory, centrally located in Sweden

  • Documented fewer repairs
